three corners has my hat!
Good news! I'm done with class for the day. And I have a job interview on Saturday. AND I'm more than likely getting a hair cut tomorrow. I'm so exciteeeeeed! Here is a little gem of a photo that I thought you might enjoy. Rachel and I were bored last night. So we took some photos and we had a dance party to some Cher and some Land of a Thousand Dances. It was beauuuuutiful!

moleskines and midnight walks...
Here are a couple pages from my moleskine journal that I made this weekend. I really enjoy having a little place that I can paint and write. It is a great little canvas.
I had a good day in the end. I was tired after my classes, I have 4 classes on Monday and Wednesday, and I find myself plum tuckered out, but I went on a walk with Margaret around 10, and we walked a few miles. It was nice. It is my favorite kind of weather out, so I really really enjoyed it. It may become a habitual thing.

spring is coming.
I was leaving the library tonight, and I realized that tonight is my favorite type of night. Ever.
Warm, cloudy, recently rained. I can feel spring coming. The smell of the night, the texture, the occasional scent of blossoms, the feeling of the air: it resonates in my bones. I can feel spring coming, and it feels good.

Hello Procrastination...
Here it is. The proof that I've visited the library this year. I've been diligently working all day in Regester, and now I'm working away in the library. I just needed a wee break. So I thought I would procrastinate by making a bloooggggggggggg post instead.
Dad made it home okay (with his luggage) although his journey was long. It was nice to hear from him.
Alright. Back to homework. *grumble grumble*

productive saturday...
Today was productive. Well, as productive as it can be when you sleep until noon! I got almost 11 hours of sleep last night however, which is probably something I needed after being sick. Turning in early tonight. I almost went to a party or two, but I split up with my friends to come back to my room. I finished my friend Hannah's birthday present, worked on my sister's, and now I am posting this blog.
I did quite a bit today. I shaved my legs, went to the mall (and bought nothing!), and made a sock animal! He is a happy polka-dotted fellow with a green button tail and medium sized ears. I'd love to hear comments on him. They had some cute dinosaur socks in the dollar section at Target, I might have to return to get some of those.
I can't wait to talk to Dad tomorrow when he gets home! It will be nice. I also have a ton of homework to do, and 2 big tests to study/make flash cards for, so perhaps no post tomorrow. We shall see.

Gocco:
I have found a new favorite thing. It is called a Print Gocco. It is a Japanese crafty utensil. It is basically a very easy to do screen print. I'm absolutely in love with it. I enjoyed screenprinting, although certain parts of it weren't fun (AKA, the teacher), however I think that the Gocco would fix this, because it is very simple and works well. It makes beautiful prints, and I could print my own cards and notebooks and and clothes!
One of my favorite places with Gocco cards is Two Guitars. I love the vintage feel of the work, and the cameras and trains definitely go along with what has been on my mind recently.
The Gocco cards below by porterness also tickle my fancy.
1.) Communication Citation Rewrite
2.) Print Psychology Reviews
3.) Do Psychology Study Guide
4.) Work On Birthday Presents
5.) Make French Flashcards
6.) Do French Web Assignment
7.) Revise French Paper
8.) Journal Pages

I come up with anything. My lit class was cancelled all week, which is
nice, but I do have yoga today. I hope it doesn't bug my lungs too much, but I am taking my inhaler.
Here are a couple pictures of the birthday present I made for Mariska! It is just a small linen pouch lined with red. I sewed the buttonhole myself! I embroidered the apple too!

missing the train...
I actually miss being on the train. I was laying in my bed a few minutes ago here, and wishing I could feel the sway of the train on the tracks. I couldn't even fall asleep I was missing it so much. I guess this is how my one becomes a train junkie. It is an addiction, and I've only been on it twice. I think I want to do some long distance rides, maybe Seattle to San Francisco or Seattle or Chicago. I suppose I'm somewhat genetically predisposed to this type of train-adoration. Maybe I'll post some of the locomotive-induced prose I wrote on my journey home. There was quite a few pages of it.
Okay. I'm going to have a drink of apple juice and to try to sleep again. Maybe I'll dream about trains. Goodnight world. <3

picture for the day...
Here is a photo I've been saving for a rainy day. Well, today is rainy here in Tacoma, so I decided it was time. I took this photo of a little boy on the train ride back to Montana back in December. He was looking out on the lake as we crossed the bridge near Sandpoint, Idaho.
I have a paper to write for French. I'm excited about the topic, but I'm not excited to write in French. I'm writing a travel itinerary that has to do with French Existentialism... it is an interesting topic, but I find the French language to be very limiting. I cannot express myself with the amount of eloquence I could in English. I suppose it will be good for my language however. It better be, or I will be upset.
I'll let you know how the paper goes. <3

techno tidbits!
Here is the fabulous group photo of my friends and myself before we hit the techno party we went to this weekend. Clockwise from myself, Mariska, Serena, Madie (my roomie), Dana, Valerie and Margaret. It was a good weekend... even if I did get sicker.
Went to health and wellness for the 2nd time this week. I got a second course of z-pack. I also had a breathing treatment and some sterrroiiiids. I am now on many many drugs. Hopefully I start to get better. I have to go back tomorrow to be checked up on. Perhaps more photos tomorrow?

illness and difficulty!
Well, I figured, since I'm ill, I will fill out job applications, right? WRONG!
This phonathon application is the most difficult paper I've ever filled out. Harder than biology homework. Seriously. The difficult questions are as follows:
- What is the one thing about yourself you are most proud of? Why?
- Passionate, persistent and persuasive! Of these adjectives, please choose the one that best describes you, and detail a personal experience that demonstrates why you chose that particular adjective.
- What three words would others use to describe you?
- Many people apply for this job. Tell us about any experiences, work or personal, that make you stand out in the crowd. What do you believe to be the traits of a successful telephone fundraiser?
- What three things are most important to you in a job?
- Describe how the Puget Sound Link fits with your personal and professional goals.
- Phonathon callers must feel comfortable asking for pledges of monetary support. Please give an example of how you would formulate an ask to support unrestricted funds.
- Phonathon callers face many objections. How would you respond to an alumnus who refuses to pledge their support because they are upset with the university?
Not only are the questions difficult, but there were many grammatical errors. I don't know if I can work in an office that has grammatical errors on the application!

Sunday Morning
I decided to put up some Harlee pictures because I was missing the baby. Sadly, I'm still sick, but I feel like I am improving a little. Yesterday was rough. I'm pretty sure I had a fever and I kept getting the chills. It was lame. But I took some Motrin, and it helped a lot. I'm probably going to go to breakfast pretty soon here, I'm just waiting for Mariska to wake up. I might post something more in depth later, but this is it for now. <3

an evening in...
I'm having an evening in today. I had a rough day, starting feeling horrible, feeling better, and then feeling very ill all of a sudden around three and coming back to my bed to take a nap. I've decided that I'm going to sit in my bed, watch movies, write letters, and hopefully finish/work on Kirsten's birthday present. I really want to feel better for tomorrow so that I can have a great time with Mariska, so hopefully a night of rest and early bedtime and everything will help. I hope everyone had a good Friday and will have a great weekend, and Robyn, I hope you have an AMAZING time on your vacation! <3
P.S. The photos are of the sweater I designed and created for my friend Serena for Christmas. The model is the happy recipient! :D
craftin' away.
Just a little pouch that I crafted up for my friend Maddie's birthday. Magiiiiiic wand. :D
Last night was rough. I went to bed around 11 because I didn't have anything to do and I was tired, and the illness that I thought was getting muy muy better took a turn for the worse. I kept waking myself up coughing until al most 1:30am. My throat is raw this morning, and my lungs hurt something fierce. I'm skipping my 9am class to wait for my arsenel of drugs (albuterol, advair, mucinex, and vitamins) to kick in because I would spend the whole class being that really annoying person coughing up a lung. Hopefully I can do some laundry/change my sheets/clean my room in the meantime. I've been slowly and diligently working on Kirsten's birthday present, and I got something for Harlee (that she can share with Nick) yesterday at Target.
I need to get healthified because Mariska is coming this weekend, and I'm super excited. I hope we'll have a ballin' time. I'm sure we will. :D
I'm going to run to the bookstore in a little to see what kind of robotussin/lozenges they have, so I'll update later or tomorrow. <3

Meet Olive! (and Woody too!)
This is Olive, the newest inhabitant of Regester 003! Her friend, the tall, stalky looking guy is named Woody!
UPDATE: Mother, I've infected everyone in my group of friends with my crud, and therefore my fabulous Vix Puffs have become quite popular. People pop into my room just to ask for a kleenex. I told you they were the best. :D
